10 Best Places Cities to Visit in Mizoram start with Memorial of Chhingpui– It is located on Aizawal – Lunglei road. This building is a symbol of eternal love. The traditional folklore behind this building is about a woman of aristocratic family by the name of Chhingpuii. She married Kuptluanga but after few years, she was abducted and killed. This incident made Kuptluanga take his life. This is a famous tourist destination of Mizoram.

Vantawang Falls – This lovely waterfall is located in Serchip district of Mizoram. This waterfall is said to be the highest waterfall in the state. It is located in Vanva River. The landscape around the waterfall is rocky and full of dense vegetation.

Palak Lake – It is a beautiful oval shaped natural lake. It covers an area of 1 Sq KM and is surrounded by lush green landscape. The areas near the lake are important wetlands of birds. Many migratory birds including pin-tailed duck visit this place. It is located near Phura village. 

Thenzawl – It is a small town built on grassy slopes. This area is filled with many varieties of wild flower. This town is close to Vantawang Falls. 

Phulpui Grave – These twin graves are popular among the tourists. The story behind them is a love story of Zawlpala and Talvungi. These were the days when polygamy was practiced. Talvungi was later married to Puntia but she could never forget her former husband. When Zawlpala died, she dug a grave next to his in grief and asked an old lady to kill her and bury her in the grave. 

Phawangpui – It is located in Chhimtuipui near the Burma border. It is the highest mountain range in Mizoram. It is also known as the house of Gods. There are many species of Orchids, Colorful Rhododendron and fragrant herbs. This area is also filled with bamboo groves. 

Mountain Biking in Hmuifang Hill – It is located at a height of 1524 meters above sea level. This hill has many trails that can be explored by bike lovers. Some important trails are Baktawng, Silasuk, Lungleng etc. 

KhuangcheraPuk – There are many caves in this area and KhuangcheraPuk is the best one to visit. It is located at a distance of 30 KM from Aizawl. It is said to be the longest cave of Mizoram with a length of 162 meters. Stalactite formations inside the cave are ideal for photography.

ChapcharKut – It is a well-known spring festival of Mizoram. After the fields have been cultivated for Jhum, the celebrations of these festivals take place. It is celebrated on the first week of March. Many popular dances like Chai, Cheraw, Sarlamkai etc. are performed. 

LuangMual Handicrafts center – It is located at a distance of 7 KM from Aizawl. Many interesting things can be found here including Khumbeu, which is made of wild Hnahthial leaves which are waterproof.
