Srikakulam – It is situated on the banks of River Krishna. This city has one of the longest coastlines in the state. The beaches are a must visit here. This city produces a major part of Khadi products of the country.
Secunderabad – It is also called as twin city of Hyderabad. It served as British cantonment in the 18th century but it is quite different form Hyderabad. Most people are Anglo Indian or Parsis here. Some tourist places are - Golconda Fort, Hussain Sagar Lake, Konaseema, Birla Mandir, Trimulgherry Fort, Birla Planetarium, Saidanimba Tomb, All Saints’ Church etc.
Rajahmundry – It is an ancient city and is referred to as the cultural hub of Andhra Pradesh. This is also the birthplace of Telgu language. The river Godavari runs through the city. There are also boat cruises available here. This city has ancient Dravidian temples. Some tourist attractions are - Papi Hills, Kadiyapulanka, Godavari Boat Travels, Kotilingeswara Temple, Rallabandi Subbarao Government Museum, Pattiseema, Markandeya Temple, Dowleswaram Barrage etc.
Puttaparthi – This is known and famed as religious center of Satya Sai Baba. This is also known as a pilgrim city. Many temples dedicated to Satya Sai are found here. The Chitravati River flows through the city. Some tourist attractions are - Sai Kulwant Hall, Chaitanya Jyoti Museum, Sri Sathya Sai Space Theatre, Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium, Gopuram, Anjaneya Hanuman Swamy Temple, Village Mosque, Chitravathi River etc.
Ongole – It is an ancient town. It is famous for its temples and buildings of 17th century. The major agricultural produce is tobacco. The city is also famous for its beaches. These are calm beaches with less mobs and have many water sports facilities. The hidden waterfalls of Bhairavakona are a must see. Some tourist attractions are - Kothapatnam Beach, Vodarevu Beach, Chennakesava Swamy Temple, Kashi Visweswara Swamy Temple, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir, Tangutur, Chandavaram, Bhairavakona etc.
Chittor – Ponnai River flows here and it is an agricultural town. Main agricultural products are grains, mango, sugarcane, and peanuts here. This town has and interesting twin climates as it is high in eastern areas and low in western areas. Some tourist attractions are - Horsley Hills, Kaundinya Wildlife Sanctuary, Kalavagunta, Gurramkonda Fort, Nagari Hills, Sri Venkateswara Temple, Mogili, Ramagiri etc.
Nellore – It is an agricultural city of India and the name itself means Paddy place. Damaramadugu paddy field is one of the main sources of rice in the state and country. Pennar River runs in the middle of the city. Bay of Bengal is towards the east. It is famous for its temples, bird sanctuary, forests, lakes etc. some tourist attractions are - Udayagiri Fort, Venkatagiri Fort, Nellapattu Bird Sanctuary, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Penchalakona, Jonnawada, Mypad Beach, Pulicat Lake etc.
Vijayawada – It is the third largest city of Andhra Pradesh. It has also been coined as the future city by Mckinsey firm. Chinese traveler Hieun Tsang stayed here. Kondapalli reserve forest with a wide variety of animals is situated here. The river Krishna flows through the Eastern Ghats here. Some tourist places are - Undavalli Caves, Mogalarajapuram Caves, Prakasam Barrage, Bhavani Island, Victoria Museum, Kondapalli Fort, Kolleru Lake, Gandhi Hill etc.
Tirupati – It is a major cultural and religious hub. It is located in the foothills of Eastern Ghats. It is famous for its temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Balaji. It is one of the major pilgrim places. The tourist attractions are - Sri Venkateswara Temple, Talakona Waterfalls, TTD Gardens, Deer Park, Sri Vari Museum, Sri Govindarajaswami Temple, Srikalahasti, Kanipakam etc.
Visakhapatnam – After Telangana state was formed, Visakhapatnam has become the largest city of Andhra Pradesh. It has a tropical climate. It has many beaches, wildlife sanctuary, and mesmerizing hills. It is one of the deepest ports of India. The major attractions are - Borra Caves, Araku Valley, Yarada Beach, Rishikonda Beach, Katiki Waterfalls, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Kailasagiri Hill Park, VUDA Park etc.
