10 Best Places to Visit in Meghalaya start with Cherrapunji – It is the second wettest place on earth. The first wettest place on earth is also in India and near to Cherrapunji, called Mawsynram. It is rich in natural growth, vegetation, and wildlife. This place has rainfall throughout the year. Some important tourist places are - Mawmluh Cave, Nohsngithiang Falls, Thangkharang Park, Khoh Ramhah or Basket of the Giant etc.
William Nagar – It is a heaven for birdwatchers adventure lovers. Beautiful greenery and lush surroundings make it a top destination for calm seekers. Some tourist destinations are - Tasek Lake, Simsang River, Domre Falls, Naka-Chikong etc.

Garo Hills – These are beautiful hills in western Meghalaya. This land is so biodiverse it comprises of wildlife sanctuary like Siju, Balpakhram and Nokrek Biosphere reserve. The highlight of this place is butterfly tours.
Mawphlang Sacred village – It is home to sacred plant grove. The Khasi tribe lives here. This place is full of herbs and medicinal plants. Animal scarifies are performed in this grove. There are different mock tribal huts in Khasi heritage village.
Iewduh Bara Bazar – It is the largest traditional market of north-east. Khasi women sell fresh stock of produce here. Street photography is famous in this market. It is open from 8 am to 5 pm.
