Bhopal – It is also known as city of Lakes. There are many natural and man-made lakes here. The city is full of ancient structures and modern architecture. Some main tourist attractions are – Van Vihar national park, State museum of Madhya Pradesh, Gohar Mahal, Tajul Masjid, Upper Lake, Lower Lake, Bhimbekta etc.
Indore – It is the largest city in Madhya Pradesh. It is located on the banks of Sarawati and Khan Rivers. The city is a mix of old and new. It still retains its ancient charm along with modern marvels. Some attractions are – Lal Baag Palace, Krishnapura Chattris, Indore White Church, Patalpani Waterfall, Central museum, Ralamandal wildlife sanctuary etc.
Gwalior – It is well known city for its folklore of bravery and excellence in architecture. The mesmerizing forts and temples are not to be missed. Some tourist attractions are – Sun temple, Scindia museum, Scindia school, Gwalior Fort, Madhav national park, Tigra Dam, Jai vilas palace museum, Gujari mahal etc.

Sanchi – It is a beautiful ancient city with lots of temples, monasteries, and stupas. This is also a pilgrim spot of followers of Buddhism. It is a city not to be missed with some ruins and sites dated earlier than 3rd century BC. Some of the lovely sites are – Ashoka Pillar, Buddhist Vihar, Sanchi Museum, The Great Bowl, Udaygiri caves and stupas etc.
Omkareshwar – It is a scared city of Hindus. The natural attractions are two hills and a valley in between them in the city, which is in the shape of Om. Besides this, there are many ancient temples and monuments to visit. Some of them are – Mamleshwar temple, Omkareshwar temple, Omkareshwar Jyotiling etc.
Orchha – It was the capital of Bundela Rajputs. It has lovely architecture in many monuments and buildings all over the city. There are many tourist attractions like the Orchha fort, Orchha wildlife sanctuary, Chaturbhuj temple, Jehangir Mahal etc.
